St. Stanislaus School Policies

School policies are found in the Parent Handbook.  All policies are to be strictly adhered to.  The following policies are listed on this page:

Dismissal Procedure - Car Pools

Dress Code

Dismissal Procedure - Car Pools

  1. All vehicles entering the school parking lot near the Kindergarten are to drive in the entrance closest to the main school building before 2:55 p.m.  By driving in that entrance, all cars stopped (parked) in front of the Kindergarten should be facing South.

  2. At 2:55 p.m.

  1. All drivers should be inside their vehicles.

  2. Traffic cones will be placed to block  the entrance to the parking lot closest to the school.

  3. When car-pool students are walked to the parking lot, those who see their pick-up car should walk to the vehicle and get inside.  Students, who do not see their pick-up car, will stand with the supervising teacher near the wall of the main school building.

  4. All vehicles should exit the parking lot by the Weber Street exit after the students are safely in their cars.

  5. All who choose to park near the Kindergarten will be required to follow these directives and exit the parking lot in a timely manner following our school dismissal.

N.B.  Kindergarten students are released to the person designated to pick them up.  The teacher will not allow them to leave her presence until the designated adult comes to the child.

  1. Vehicles should not enter the parking lot by any entrance between 2:55 and 3:00.

  2. When the bulk of the car pool vehicles have left (by 3:00 p.m.), late vehicles may enter.  Children waiting must first speak to the supervising teacher and receive permission to walk to their pick-up car.

  3. Children should NEVER be summoned to cross Summer Street to a waiting car.  An adult MUST cross to the school-side of Summer Street and safely cross the children.

  4. Parents are asked to be on time at school dismissal.  In a rare emergency, a call should be made to the school by 2:50 p.m. explaining the reason for a late pick up.
