Superintendent of Catholic Schools
QUALIFICATIONS The Superintendent should possess a Master’s Degree (at a minimum), a Doctoral Degree (preferred), or its equivalent in order to warrant consideration for this position. Candidates with substantial senior executive leadership ideally in a Catholic or non-Catholic school setting who are able to demonstrate the skills and knowledge necessary to serve as the Superintendent will be considered. In addition, the successful candidate will also have many of the following professional and personal qualifications: • Collaborative leadership style along with an ability to act decisively • Evidence of success in working with various boards and stakeholders to advance a positive change agenda • Effective communication skills • Ability to brand and market our schools and some level of experience in development • Ability to recruit and motivate talented people in professional and volunteer roles • Commitment, energy, and capacity to successfully manage multiple tasks • Proven innovator with experience accessing needed resources • Ability to develop partnerships with constituencies within the community and beyond • Experience with collective bargaining
