Grade 3 Teacher
Applicants for this third grade position should have at least a Bachelor’s degree. Experience in a childcare / educational setting is preferred. Employment start date is August 1, 2024.
Responsibilities for this position are:
  •  Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects; communicate those objectives to students.
  • Provide a variety of materials and resources for students to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning and in imaginative play.
  • Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
  • Prepare materials for class activities.
  • Prepare and adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests; prepare and implement remedial opportunities for students requiring extra help.
  • Instruct students individually and in groups, using various methods such as lectures, discussions, and demonstrations.
  • Assign and grade class work and homework assignments.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by administration.
  • Prepare reports on students and activities as required by administration and individual needs.
  • Administer standardized ability and achievement tests (STAR) and interpret results to determine student strengths and areas of need.
  • Supervise, evaluate, and plan assignments for substitute teachers and class visitors.
  • Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order among the students he/she is responsible for in the classroom.
  • Implement administration policies and rules governing students.
  • Attend staff meetings and serve on committees as required.
  • Perform assigned duties including (but not limited to) classroom coverage, morning recess and drop off, lunch/lunch recess, transitions, and any dismissal duties.
  • Foster a positive and safe learning environment rich in Christian values.
  • Develop strong relationships with families through participation in school events and consistent phone calls, texts, and/or emails with caregivers.
  • Select, store, order, issue, and inventory classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Meet with colleagues to discuss individual student’s needs and progress; confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning.
  • Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s progress and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs.

Math Teacher Job Description
We are searching for dedicated and experienced math teacher(s) to join our team. As a math teacher, you will be required to deliver lessons that develop students’ theoretical and applied mathematical skills. You will also be responsible for assigning homework, grading assignments and quizzes, and documenting students’ progress.
To be successful as a math teacher, you should possess a thorough understanding of effective teaching practices. Our ideal candidate will be able to create a stimulating learning environment that is sensitive to students’ individual needs.
Math Teacher Responsibilities:
• Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students’ understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes.
• Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons.
• Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning.
• Grading assignments and quizzes in a timely manner.
• Documenting and reporting on students’ progress.
• Attending meetings with parents and staff.
Math Teacher Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in education with a specialization in mathematics, or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Math Teacher.
• A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organized, flexible disposition.
