Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
St John’s Parish at 833 Main Street, Agawam, has an opening for a part-time Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for 12-15 hours per week. Basic requirements and talents we are seeking – A person with a variety of maintenance skills along with supervisory skills, to delegate and work with parish volunteers. Good written and verbal communication skills are also needed.
Duties include the following:
  • Daily parish maintenance activities, including electrical, mechanical, waste disposal services, etc.
  • Working with outside contractors to ensure timely, accurate procurement & completion of services (landscaping/snow removal, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting of maintenance-related issues as they arise (off-hour availability may be needed); communication of any outstanding issues with parish Office Manager
  • Other duties to assist the parish, administrator, and office manager, as needed

Youth Minister
St. Mary’s Parish is seeking a Youth Minister. We are seeking an individual who is dynamic and in love with the Catholic faith. Working in conjunction with our Office of Religious Education the individual will be responsible for the creation, development, oversight, and evaluation of programs that serve our Junior High, High School and Young Adult population. These programs will be expected to provide attractive activities that promote and develop fellowship, discipleship and evangelical zeal among our young while also encouraging them to take an active involvement in the life and mission of the parish and the Church. Candidate must have a great rapport with young people, have the ability to work effectively as a team member, have excellent organizational skills and have a working knowledge of technologies and social networks. Salary and hours will be negotiable.
