“Hope for the Long Haul: Finding our place in poetic time” is the theme of the upcoming Annual Pax Christi Massachusetts Spring Retreat, at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 1076 Thorndike Street, Palmer, MA on Saturday April 12, 2025.
The retreat will be led by Brad Wolf, a former prosecutor, professor, and community college dean. Brad is executive director of Peace Action Network of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, co-coordinator of the Merchants of Death War Crimes Tribunal, and current chair of the US Organizing Committee for the People's Tribunal on the Korean Victims of the 1945 Atomic Bombings.
Brad recently compiled and edited A Ministry of Risk, a book of collected writings by Philip Berrigan. Brad will use poetic time, reverie, and resistance to help us continue performing the works of mercy in a fast-changing, threatening world. With Philip Berrigan and others as references, participants can place themselves within the story, perhaps the story, and thereby find the strength and spirit to continue, no matter the setbacks, no matter the odds.
The retreat begins at 9:00am and ends at 3:30pm. A donation of $40.00 is requested, lunch included. High School and College students with ID are free. Register Online or at the door. All peace seekers are welcome.
